I am an independet researcher and consultant. I consider myself as a human ecologist with a strong background in ecology and social sciences. My research is concerned with the development of social-ecological systems as a result of human-nature interactions over time. It seeks to answer three main questions:
I have been working on diverse topics including resilience and sustainability, natural resource use in coastal and marine systems, ecosystem services, water scarcity, policy instruments for species and biodiversity conservation, marine environmental history, and gender issues. I currently explore Geographic Information Systems and work with ArcGIS and QGIS. |
